When a European based company was awarded an American contract  to convert commercial Diesel busses to Hybrid Electric they needed to act fast to find the right staff. They contacted Rockstar and within weeks of taking on the search we had located them both their Technical Manager and Lead Technician. Without the right staff in place there was no way they would have been able to fulfill this contract and expand their business into the USA.

Finding good staff in remote mining communities is always tough and this was the case for a large Open Pit mine in Northern British Columbia. They needed to staff up on all shifts and required several technical and leadership roles. Over the course of 3 months Rockstar was able to assist in filling many vacancies to ensure the mine was able to operate efficiently and safely.

Nearly five years ago, Rockstar was approached by a very well-established Fire Prevention & Suppression Company to partner with their hiring needs initially for CFAA Fire Alarm Technicians and 427A Sprinkler Fitters across Ontario.  The challenge they faced were finding qualified Techs that weren’t readily available on typical job seeking platforms and not part of the union.

Rockstar was able to quickly present and place Fire Alarm Technicians & Fitters in the GTA, Hamilton, Ottawa, and Hamilton.  With these successes, we were trusted to take on additional searches for their branches in Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba and asked to proactively recruit for trade related professionals to help them build better teams

A global Fortune 500 company who are leaders in fire, HVAC, and security equipment for buildings, reached out and partnered with Rockstar to assist hiring several vital positions.  Some of these roles include HVAC Service Managers, Fire Alarm Service Managers, Fire Alarm Technicians, and more.

It was challenging due to the lack of available talent, but within a short period of time, Rockstar was able to source and a variety of these roles across Ontario and Texas.

An established residential & commercial mechanical organization who has been providing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services to the North Shores of Massachusetts for over 40 years has made Rockstar their first call for their hiring needs. As part of the Nexstar network and a company with very low turnover, it is important they find candidates with a positive attitude, a drive for continuous learning and training, and a passion for the trades.  While they have a stellar reputation for their business and employee retention, the challenge for them was the lack of available local talent through traditional recruitment methods and time to sort through applications.

Last year, we were approached by a Mechanical company in Bermuda who were struggling to find local people for their current projects and expanding commercial and industrial contracts across the island.  The challenge they faced was the lack of qualified and licensed trades people on the island and needed to tap into the Canadian market for Red Seal candidates wanting to relocate and make a lifestyle change.

They are one of Bermuda’s largest and long-standing Mechanical company with divisions in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection to name a few.  They tasked us with finding several key roles, such as Plumbers, Sprinkler Fitters, Foremen, Sheet Metal Workers, Mechanical Superintendent, and Pipe Fitters.  Within a short period of time, Rockstar was successful in sourcing, presenting, and placing numerous Journeymen chomping at the bit to relocate for warmer weather and a more laid-back lifestyle.  We have quickly become an integral part of their ongoing recruitment strategy.

Since 2018, Rockstar has partnered with Canada’s leading provider of residential HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services. With an ongoing skilled trades shortage and multiple locations across Ontario with open vacancies, they initially needed assistance sourcing experienced Techs & Installers within a short period of time.

Rockstar was able to successfully place several 313D Service Techs and Installers across Ontario and since then has been asked to support with recruitment efforts as they continue to grow and expand.  Roles include HVAC Service Technicians, HVAC Installers, G2 Gas Fitters, Dispatchers, Trainers, Installation Managers, Water Heater Installers, HVAC Helpers, HVAC Subcontractors, HVAC Service Managers, Warranty Administrators, and Service Coordinators.
